The Easiest (and yummiest) Peach Cobbler Ever

I found this recipe a long time ago and fell in love the first time I made it. You'll be amazed at how easy it is. But be warned - it is NOT low fat.

Peach Cobbler

1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup plus 2 TBS milk
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 16-20 oz. can sliced peaches in heavy syrup
cinnamon sugar

Preheat oven to 375F. Add butter to casserole dish and put into oven to melt. Meanwhile, mix (by hand) sugar, flour, baking powder and milk until lumps are gone.

When butter is melted, add batter to dish. Add peaches and syrup on top of batter. DO NOT STIR. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool 10 minutes.

Serve warm with or without ice cream.

Sans ice cream (or naked as I like to call it):

With ice cream (so much better):
